A passion for food
runs in the family

Amanda, also from Birmingham, grew up in the restaurant business. Her passion for training took her around the world to open new restaurants
with Dallas-based T.G.I. Fridays,
Detroit-based Elias Brothers Corporation and several independent operators.  Amanda is
a sommelier currently working towards her
master sommelier accreditation. She is
also a certified trainer for the state-
recognized TIPS alcohol awareness
program and for ServSafe, the safe food
handling and sanitation program of the
National Restaurant Association.

Paul is responsible for the operations of
Trattoria Stella. Amanda focuses on staff recruitment, training and management.
She conducts an ongoing series of wine
and service classes, some of which are
open to the public. Under her guidance,
Trattoria Stella has quickly established
a reputation for one of the finest wine
cellars in the region.
