We are proud to present unique events and dinners inspired by the travels of of both owners, Amanda and Chef Myles. Each event is carefully planned and orchestrated with a selection of food and beverages that have positively impacted and supremely shaped how we view the hospitality industry. We take pride in offering these events to bring new experiences to Northern Michigan.
A partnership between Bos Wine and Ethanology Distillation of Elk Rapids and Left Foot Charley and Trattoria Stella of Traverse City, Village to Village offers an experience rooted in shared passion, mutual support, and an overall desire to focus on the fun. Each business will curate their own weekly food and beverage features while welcoming guest stars from the other Village partners to share stories and pour perspectives.
Features will take place weekly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from January 13th through April 29th, rotating between venues and villages:
Tuesdays at Left Foot Charley
Wednesdays at Trattoria Stella
Saturdays at Bos Wine
Sundays at Ethanology (excluding the final Sunday of each month)
Village to Village creates a unique opportunity during the slower season for locals to meet the makers, ask questions, and connect directly with the people behind the pours—something that’s often harder to do during busier times, inviting deeper and more meaningful conversations. Over the course of the series, guests can expect library wines, rarer options, thoughtful food and drink features, and an unmistakable sense of community love.
Open to everyone, from industry professionals to passionate community members, Village to Village encourages guests to mark their calendars and join the road trip along US31 between the two destinations. More event details, weekly features, and guest appearances will be announced on each participating Village business’s social media channels. Join us for The Deputies Dinner—a celebratory wine dinner from our Deputy Beverage Director, Kristen Warba and our Deputy Executive Chef, Austin Lowe.
Together, these two Deputies will create a collaborative dinner showcasing their shared dedication with intentional wines and thoughtful food – the future of Trattoria Stella.
Kristen was trained by Owner Amanda Danielson, whose own mentorship traces to Master Sommelier Madeline Triffon alongside Michelle DeHayes—one of two beverage professionals “deputized” to reflect the depth of expertise behind the role. Today, Kristen advances Stella’s ambitious beverage program with her fierce passion for hospitality. For this dinner, she’ll curate course-by-course pairings from Little Guy Wine Company with Michelle DeHayes.
In the kitchen, Austin’s steady hand ensures seamless execution and high standards across Stella’s ever-evolving menu. Beneath his calm presence lies a depth of skill that strengthens the connection between front and back of house. His consistency and creativity are vital ingredients in the kitchen, as he crafts inspired features while ensuring each dinner service is executed in a calm and positive way.
A portion of each dinner ticket will be donated to Cook It Forward, a program teaching essential cooking skills to help kids and teens build confidence, independence, and a lifelong connection to food. We’re proud of our butcher, Adam Worden, who shares his skills beyond the restaurant as Founder of Cook It Forward. Cooking isn’t just about making meals—it’s about self-sufficiency, creativity, and community.
